    This year Elgin was the finalist in two categories: Best Economic Game Changer and Best Downtown Business.

  2. Hogalicious Dessert Contest

    October 25, 2018, 6:00 PM @ Eva Mae's Kitchen

    Put on your baking cap and apron and make a dessert (or two) to enter in the Hogalicious Dessert Contest. Desserts must fall into one of two categories; pies or cakes and be home baked (no store bought items. A Professional category is also available - check out the Hogeye Festival page to get a registration form.

  3. Pearls Before Swine Art Show

    October 25, 2018, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ TBD

    Pearls showcases the Elgin area’s finest artists and brings together diverse and stimulating pieces of their work. The Opening Gala includes a silent auction, the proceeds go to the Pearls Before Swine Scholarship Fund. Scholarships are awarded by the Elgin Arts Association each year to Elgin-area graduating seniors who plan to continue studies in any of the arts including visual, music, theater, dance, creative writing, and more.   4. Hogeye Street Dance

    October 26, 2018, 8:00 PM - October 27, 2018, 12:00 AM @ Depot Street

    The Friday Night free street dance, features Kenny Orts and No Chance. Vendors providing food, and drinks will be available in addition to the carnival which will be open from 6pm to 10pm. You can also enjoy dinner downtown. The Free Street dance will be on Depot Street at Veterans Memorial Park.

    The festival features live music and entertainment on three stages , handmade arts and crafts, children’s activities, a children’s costume pet parade, a carnival, Road Hog Car Show, BBQ Pork Cook-Off, Hogalicious Dessert Contest, Cow Patty Bingo, the Pearls Before Swine Art Show and great festive food! Free Festival Shuttle available at the Hwy 95 North Park and Ride.
