Thank you for your interest in a career with the City of Elgin. Current Job Openings are updated regularly and may include a variety of employment opportunities within our local government.

Application Instructions


Do not leave questions blank.  Start with your present or last job. Include any job-related military services, assignments and relevant volunteer activities.  Your duties performed, should clearly describe your qualifications. 

You must submit proof of your education with your application.  This can include:
Copy of High School diploma/GED or high school transcripts, College transcripts if required to meet minimum qualifications, and any certificates and/or licenses required for the job.

  1. Visit the Current Job Openings
  2. Click on the job title you are applying for
  3. Read the description and the requirements
  4. Click "Apply Online" button at the bottom of the posting
  5. Create an account or Log in to your existing account
  6. Follow the instructions and complete your application
  7. Submit your application

​You may pick up an application in person at City Hall.
After completing the application, you can submit:

  3. Scan and email to: psanders@ci.elgin.tx.us
  4. Only applications completed in full will be accepted for consideration of an employment position.
